Welcome to E-News from the World Development Movement
Issue 10

WHOSE RULES RULE? AFRICAN ANSWERS
In a year when the UK Government claims Africa is centre stage in its
international development policy, will rhetoric be matched by real political
action? Join WDM and speakers from Africa on 18 June 2005 in examining
African development from an African perspective.

G8: CORPORATE DREAM, GLOBAL NIGHTMARE?
July sees Edinburgh staging Scotland's largest ever protests with 100,000s

VOTE FOR WDM TO RECEIVE CO-OPERATIVE BANK DONATION
The Co-operative Bank has selected WDM to receive a donation as part of its
Customers Who Care campaign for trade justice. Customers can vote for one of
five key Trade Justice charities, and the Bank will divide its donation
between the five according to the percentage of votes each receives. If you
have a Co-operative Bank account, VOTE FOR WDM at the link below between now
and 31 July. So far, the Bank has donated over £3 million to charities and
NGOs working for a better world.

SPONSOR WDM'S G8 ACTIONS
WDM really needs the help of our supporters to challenge the G8 Summit. In
the next week, you will be receiving a mailing asking you to sponsor our
actions in Edinburgh. So look out for this appeal and please make a donation
whether or not you are able to join us there.

FORWARD TO A FRIEND
Please forward E-News to as many friends or family as possible. With your
help we can spread the World Development Movement's campaigns far and wide,
we can turn the tide of injustice, and challenge the root causes of world
poverty.
