Farewell, my child,

To far-away fairy lands

To far-away fairy seas

Of clouds over smoke over snow over fire

Farewell my child and come back

To me another time another space

If I die before dawn

And if I don’t

Farewell my child and come back

Even if you die before dawn

In far-away lands

So like the fairy countries described

The fairy tales I had told you

In long winter nights

Across misty seas

Of clouds over smoke over sun over rain

Farewell my child

Let’s listen to the rain

Together

Even if we’re dead
