Gracias por su interés en el taller de Cal-Earth en Colombia! El taller
será organizado por ORGANIZMO Centro de diseño y capacitación de Hábitats
sostenibles enfocados en el desarrollo de acciones concretas para la
construcción de comunidades sustentables por medio de la bio arquitectura y
el trabajo comunitario, que se encuentra en La Vereda de Juaica, en Tenjo,
Cundinamarca. Organizmo está en el municipio de Tenjo, a 44 Km de la ciudad
de Bogotá.

Se impartirán los siguientes temas: El principio del Arco, Fundamentos del
Superadobe, Practica de suelos y su tratamiento, Aprender a Leer planos,
Superadobe y yeso estabilizado con Tierra, Elementos de Diseño, Geometría
Dome, Impermeabilización, Fundamentos, la planificación del sitio y
Orientación con simples estrategias solares pasivas.

26 agosto - 31 agosto (6 días de duración)



*Procedimiento*

Llena el siguiente formulario completo

Pagar el depósito requerido para la matricula (380.000 COL $ ó 200$usd)

Una vez recibida su solicitud y el depósito, se le enviará un mail con toda
la información adicional sobre el taller

La Matricula de la enseñanza debe estar pagada como máximo el 10 de agosto
2012

Cal-Earth is coming to Colombia!



Thank you for your interest in the first Cal-Earth workshop in Colombia.
This workshop is being organized with ORGANIZMO Center for Design and
Sustainable Habitat Traning, which is focused on developing ways to build
sustainable communities through organic architecture and community work.
ORGANIZMO is located in La Vereda de Juaica in Tenjo, Cundinamarca, about
44km from Bogota.



The following Subjects will be taught: The Principle of the Arch,
Superadobe Basics, Soils Practicum and Discussion, Learning to Read
Blueprints, Superadobe & Plaster with Stabilized Earth, Elements of Design,
Dome Geometry, Waterproofing, Foundations, Site planning & Orientation and
Simple Solar Passive Strategies.

26 August - 31 August (6 days)

Fill out the official Cal-Earth Application

Pay the required $200 deposit

Once we receive your application and deposit we will email you with all the
additional information regarding the workshop

The balance of your tuition must be paid no later than 20 August 2012

*TEACHERS*



*Ana Maria Gutierrez:  *Ana Maria is the co-founder of
Organizmo<http://click.icptrack.com/icp/relay.php?r=5688659&msgid=222397&act=W4X2&c=1138031&destination=http%3A%2F%2Forganizmo.org%2F>,
an
organization that promotes the principles of permaculture,
bio-architecture, and the implementation of intuitive technologies.  She
holds a BFA in Architectural Design from the Parsons School of Design and a
Master in Interactive Telecommunications, ITP, from New York University.
 She has been dedicated to natural construction techniques for eight years,
having studied at Cal-Earth (California Institute of Earth Art and
Architecture), Yestermorrow Design School, TIBA Bon Jardin, and Integria,
among many other centers of sustainable construction. She now teaches at
her own center and has been invited to teach at the University of ISTHMUS
in Pánama and at Oxford Brookes University in the UK.



*Fox McBride:  *Fox has focused her work on earthbag building, and
primarily on the calming, stunning circular form of the dome. Trained at
Cal-Earth (California Institute of Earth Art and Architecture), she has
furthered her experience and skills through numerous earthbag dome and
vault projects. In addition, Fox enjoys home renovation using earthen
materials on floors, walls, countertops, and showers. Fox has contributed
to educational workshops at the Cal-Earth Institute in Hesperia, CA,
Organizmo Design and Education Center for Sustainable Habitats in Tenjo,
Colombia, and Plenitud Iniciativas Eco-Educativas in Las Marías, Puerto
Rico. Fox will be guiding the earthbag portion of the program.
