Subject: Local Food Program at Mustard Seed


Join fellow local food enthusiasts on Thursday, August 27th for the third in a series of local food lectures at the Mustard Seed Market in
Montrose. This month’s session is with Dr. Casey Hoy of OSU/OARDC in
Wooster. Dr. Hoy will be discussing “Building local economies, starting
with local foods.” The program runs from 7PM to 8:30; the cost is $5,
with half of the proceeds supporting local food initiatives. 
 
Next month’s lecture (7PM on September 24th)
will feature OSU’s Julie Fox, who will be sharing details on finding
local foods using tools like MarketMaker, a website that connects buyers to
local foods and allows Ohio producers to network with businesses, restaurants
and large retailers. Julie will also be conducting a special small-group interactive
workshop that afternoon. Please contact me if you’d like more details on Julie’s
sessions.
