Many of you are most likely starting or wanting to look for fertilizers and pest control for your garden plants now that they're coming into the blossoming and "fruiting" season.

Tomatoes and peppers always respond well to a shot of manure compost.  This you can buy most anywhere and apply a small amount (a cup or so) around the base of each plant.  You don't need to work it into the soil, but it doesn't hurt either way.  There are also organic, plant-specific foods (see more below).

For general insect control, plant marigolds around and throughout your garden.
You can also use an insecticidal soap shield.
If you're dealing with slugs (you'll find holes in your leaves), put out a can of beer (opened of course).  They love the brew and will crawl inside and die happy.  There is also a product call "Escar-go" put out by a company name Gardens Alive.
