Mr. McCorvey's garden has been wiped out; this is disastrous in the extreme.

I have authorized Mrs. Karen Edwards (karen326 at yahoo.com; 330-338-0011) to initiate and organize a produce drive under the auspices of The Akron Cooperative to replace Mr. McCorvey's crop donations to the senior citizens and others.

Please contact her to let her know what you can do and what you can contribute.

The is a time for all gardeners to come out in support of one of their own, just as neighbors used to help out when someone's crop failed.

This is also a time for us to step up security on our own gardens and be watchful.
