Ø    We will be participating in UPA's upcoming event "Crank It Up" this Sunday at Grace Park.  TAC has been honored as the recipient of an adult size Schwinn tricycle.  We will be relay racing Sunday against the other two recipient organizations to win $500.  We'll have a table set up with fresh vegetables for attendees to sample and to attract new gardeners to fill the gardens we'll be opening up next year for the University Park Alliance (we're celebrating the opening of the first one next week - see below).  We're looking for 50 gardeners in the University Park area (Broadway east to Arlington, North Street south to 76 East), so if you know anyone who would be interested, just send them on down!


We will also be initiating
and managing an event at the First Presbyterian Church on September 13th starting at one o'clock.  Participants include
the children and parents of University Park Preschool, church members, the
neighborhood leadership program group, neighbors, gardeners, and others.  Planned activities will include planting of
mums, installing a fence and signage, and provisions for a community picnic or
other refreshments.
