Dear Akron Cooperative Gardeners,
The
debate around the next farm bill is about to begin, and we need your
help! Earlier this month, House Agriculture Committee Chairman Collin
Peterson (D-MN) announced that he will be propelling the 2012 Farm
Bill into motion by holding the first hearings this spring.
We
are starting early to plan our part in advancing the direction of U.S.
farm and food policy to best serve farmers, ranchers and consumers. We
hope you’ll join us as we build off the gains of the last farm bill and
leverage the national focus on farms and food that has arisen over the
past two years.
Get ready for action on what could be the most significant legislation of the decade.Take the first three steps down the road to Farm Bill 2012.

Help pave the way for the farm bill by fighting for sound federal policies. Sign a
letter of support to Chairman Peterson and thank him for making the first move
on the next farm bill. Read about the farm and food policy debate and weigh-in on how you think we can achieve real reform.

Thank you for your support,

The 2012 Farm Bill Team
