We've already been contacted by a number of teachers and principals about helping to put in gardens, raised beds, and greenhouses.

The Edible Schoolyard Berkeley Academy now accepting applications
Chez Panisse Foundation is accepting applications on line for our second annual training Academy: Creating Garden and Kitchen Classrooms in Every Community. Academies support emerging garden and kitchen programs with professional development and networking opportunities. Fill out an application here.
Chez Panisse Foundation hosts School Lunch Academy in LA
Chef Ann Cooper and retired Berkeley Unified Superintendent Michelle Lawrence presented a one day workshop to address challenges and opportunities to change school lunch. Ten districts participated, represented by Nutrition Services staff and administrators from across LA and Santa Barbara Counties. Participants agreed the workshop provide invaluable information and networking opportunities. Help us bring this academy to your county, by donating now.
Jamie Oliver wins the TED prize for his work to address childhood obesity
Fellow food activist Jamie Oliver has brought his expertise in changing school lunch to the United States, joining Alice Waters, Michelle Obama and many others in fighting for the health of our children. His groundbreaking work in the UK and now the United States has galvanized the interest of media and innovators, earning him this year’s TED prize.
