The Akron Cooperative chairs the community gardens working group of the Summit County Food Policy Coalition.

This presentation and discussion involves all of our gardeners and everyone else who is interested/concerned about community gardening.  I hope that as many of you as possible can attend.

We're at "The Tipping Point" (Malcolm Gladwell) of a movement and numbers count.

Subject: Food Policy Coalition Meeting

Hi Everyone-

It's that time again!  We have a meeting scheduled for next Tuesday, March 23 at the Akron-Summit County Public Library Main Branch in one of their meeting rooms. The time is from 6-8pm, and the topic is Community Gardening. Parking is free in the garage.

The first hour will consist of a panel discussion on Community Gardens in the Akron/Summit area, including some time for questions and discussion on collaborative opportunities. During the second hour we will hear from the working groups, discuss the goals that were set at the January meeting, and have some time for networking.
