<p>Join fellow local food enthusiasts on Thursday, August 27<sup>th</sup>
for the third in a series of local food lectures at the Mustard Seed Market in
Montrose. This month’s session is with Dr. Casey Hoy of OSU/OARDC in
Wooster. Dr. Hoy will be discussing “Building local economies, starting
with local foods.” The program runs from 7PM to 8:30; the cost is $5,
with half of the proceeds supporting local food initiatives. </p>
<p> </p>
<p>Next month’s lecture (7PM on September 24<sup>th</sup>)
will feature OSU’s Julie Fox, who will be sharing details on finding
local foods using tools like MarketMaker, a website that connects buyers to
local foods and allows Ohio producers to network with businesses, restaurants
and large retailers. Julie will also be conducting a special small-group interactive
workshop that afternoon. Please contact me if you’d like more details on Julie’s
sessions.</p>
