But the actual garden plots are your responsibility, and a number of you aren't taking care of your gardens. Not only is this unhealthy for your vegetables plants, taking nutrition away from them and encouraging insects to nest which will eventually attack your plants, but it is also unsightly. We've already had to mow down neglected and/or give away abandoned
plots. I'm really sorry to have to do this, but it's for the greater
good. Sometimes people just commit to more than they can handle.<br><br>As I'm sure many of you know, the city is having financial problems and we can only hope that the community gardens will not suffer because of them. We are already losing Jerry Egan from the Urban Planning and Development Department which sponsors the gardens.
