<div align="left"><font size="2" face="Arial">Labor Day was a milestone for our movement. With kids heading back to
school and Congress resuming session, more than 20,000 Americans
rallied at over 300 events across the country to tell our nation's
leaders it's time to fix school lunch. </font><font size="2" face="Arial"></font></div>
<div align="left"><font size="2" face="Arial"> </font></div>
<div align="left"><font size="2" face="Arial">In all 50 states, kids, parents,
teachers, farmers, leaders from community groups and especially Slow
Food members sat down to make a political statement by sharing in the
joy of good food. This day marked the first show of force in our
campaign to give kids real food
at school, and now we're in a position to make our message loud and
clear when Congress begins debating the Child Nutrition Act this fall.
Thank you to everyone who came, who brought food, signed the petition, wrote letters --
this was your day.</font></div>
