gather (the useful remnants of a crop) from the field after harvesting<div class="etyseg">[from Old French <i>glener,</i> from Late Latin <i>glennāre,</i> probably of Celtic origin]</div><br>And it's that time of the year - time to harvest and to glean the gardens.<br><br>The weather is obviously starting to flip into colder temps and we won't have too much more time to winterize the gardens.<br><br>What needs to be done: glean any produce out that you want to keep;<br> clean out any rocks, stakes, cages, anything that could hurt the mower or the
tiller;<br> leave the boundary stakes and ropes to mark the plots.<br><br> I have a tiller available for anyone who would like to till their plot.<br> By the time I'm ready to sow winter rye, all of the plots will be tilled for the
