Parker: To the Stinner Conference Workgroup<br><br>Do you understand now why I have been pushing for re-defining and re-educating the public about proper year-round diets based on locally grown, in-season foods?<br><br>My target people, the people which The Akron Cooperative serves, are urban residents who suffer from juvenile obesity and diabetes, who die from heart attacks (as I almost did) and strokes - the avoidable, diet-related illnesses of which Jamie Oliver speaks so passionately.<br><br>Perhaps our conference on extending locally-grown food to year-round accessibility is not the specific place and time when we should be discussing the foods we need vs. the foods we've been taught to want. I think it is. But if it's not, then we need another conference, and
