To help avoid misunderstandings:

Software with a license which is consistent with the open source 
philosophy is still referred to as 'Free Software' as you have the 4 
freedoms which define free software.

Software released under a license which is consistent with the free 
software philosophy always has the source code available.

The Free Software philosophy is distinct from the open source philosophy 
in important ways. The aims are different. On the path of the Free 
Software philosophy meeting it's objective, it happens to also meet the 
objectives of the open source philosophy. These differences are 
reflected in the license the software is released under.
