Hi

I am interesting in approaching the ActiviX people if
they would be interested in hosting a list for
discussing security issues for activists to go with
www.activistsecurity.org - can you pass this email on
to them?

We are particular concerned about people being able to
be anonymous on the list for security reasons - what
are the settings on the ActiviX lists and is this
option possible. People are not going to ask or reply
on issues involving covert action or personal issues
if who is doing so is going to be available to every
security service in the world? Is there a mechanism to
do this where preset pseudonyms are associated to
email addresses instead for the public archives, or
something similar - suggesting that people set up free
webmail accounts and use only internet cafes is not a
practical solution, especially as we'll be wanting to
educate people about security not scaring them away.

What about having the archives closed? And what about
IP addresses - can they all be removed from the
records?

All the best

SA
