[AktiviX-discuss] Ufi-learndirect: what should I say?

Hia,

I was having an argument with a close friend tonight - they're in a
fairly senior position in Ufi/learndirect. (The 'University for
Industry' that I see as, in large part, a government-subsidised
extension of Microsoft. With added basic skills.)

She didn't see the whole Microsoft aspect - or the equiping people to be
office-monkeys-aspect - as an issue to be argued about.

She considers herself to be socially progressive - and that its possible
to change the system from within. So I fully intend to test the theory!

Thus - I'm looking for some suggestions. If I want to 'lobby' her - to
convince her of how huge amounts of government money, via learndirect,
should be better spent if one considers oneself to be socialist, or
vaguely progressive... what should I say?

Give me some ammo and I'll have a go at it.

Cheers,

Dan
