Good people who rely on and support Tachanka--

Our main server, shadow, is in need of another reboot soon.  This reboot
should give us access to an additional 1GB of RAM, as well as moving us
to a more recent version of the linux kernel (2.6.21 to 2.6.22).

The plan is to do this upgrade on 2007-10-19 at 12 UTC. It will involve
brief outages for all the vservers on shadow.  In the event of a
problem, we will revert to the current kernel, and reschedule the
transition.  So in any event, we don't expect individual outages to be
more than ~15 minutes.  If this timing is bad for anyone, please let us
know by mailing contact at tachanka.org!

There's a lot of work going on Tachanka systems these days, which is
good!  But maintaining reliable hardware and connectivity isn't without
cost either.  In addition to maintaining current levels of service, we'd
like to be able to offer reliable access to another machine, which would
provide Tachanka members with the possibility of redundant hardware (and
an offsite backup).  Both of these concerns mean that we need funds!
