hey there all
I'm pretty well connected to the schnews crew and due to go to brighton in a
couple of weeks so could meet with people then
however
one concern is that cowley club is not very big
and while it can (and does) host a good party, it's not entirely the kind of
venue that I think sian and I had imagined for the late night party
section....
can also imagine some of the money/no money, academics/no academics issues
coming up again with some of the more radical people involved in the
centre.... but maybe we can handle it ok with a different approach than the
kind taken to uk imc.... ?
so... have a think and if u ppl are keen I can make some calls (early this
week if poss, am away for a week from weds) and sound schnews ppl out and
take it from there
xxx

Do you think we should join forces with them? I am sure that they would be
keen on a little help organising and some resources

Alternative Media Conference

SchNEWS is calling out for interest/involvement in an
Alternative Media Conference in Brighton in early May this
year, which will be held over a weekend at the Cowley Club.
This will cover video, web and print media and will be
partly workshops for those newly involved, and also open
discussions about all aspects of the media activist
malarkey. Some accommodation will be sorted, and help is
needed to set this up. Email us if you are interested in
helping or coming. Watch out for updates...
