<table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0" ><tr><td valign="top" style="font: inherit;"> Hey everyone, <br><br>Yesterday a man called Bassem Ibrahim Abu Rahm was killed in the weekly Friday protest at Bilin, while peacefully protesting against the wall being built on his village lands. <br>I met Bassem for the first time just over a year ago and he was a very out going and positive man,absolutely committed to peaceful resistance to the occuaption.<br><br> On Friday the Israeli soldiers opened fire with tear gas and rubber bullets as they always do. Except the Israeli army now usies a more lethal projectile to release tear gas. The new canister high impact and is not designed for public order/ civilain events.<br><br>The canister penetrated Bassem's stomach and he bled to death.<br><br> The weekly demonstrations are joined by many people who visit Palestine in solidarity and many of us who have taken

2009 the Israeli military shot and killed Bassem Ibrahim Abu Rahmah
aged 30, during the weekly nonviolent protest against the Wall in the
West Bank village of Bil'in.<br><br>Here is an image of him taken just
over a year ago on the 11th April 2008 marching with the rest of the
men of Bilin to hold the weekly non violent protest against the illegal

gas cartridges and remnants of sound bombs that the Israelis had fired

Palestinian sources reported Friday that a local demonstrator was
killed after being hit in the chest by a tear gas canister during a
protest against the separation fence in the West Bank village of Bilin.
</p> <p> </p> <p>The man, 30-year-old Bassem Ibrahim Abu-Rahma from
Bilin, was evacuated to a Ramallah hospital in serious condition, where
he then died of his wounds. The army confirmed the report of
Abu-Rahma's death. </p> <p> </p> <p>Representatives of the IDF and the
Coordination and Liaison Authority met with Palestinian officials later
