Received this request at short notice, and pretty sure I won't be able to do
it as I'm in frantic Mayday organising mode.  Anybody interested?  It would
be good to have a voice for anarcha-feminism there.

Hi,

 

Manchester University's feminist collective 'the Riveters' and Manchester
SWP are co-hosting a speakers' event on Thursday 29th April at 6pm at the
Manchester  University Union and are looking for speakers with different
views to come speak and participate in a discussion about theories of
women's oppression and women's liberation in the 21st century. We hope that
this will be an important event in the run up to the general election. We
were wondering if you would like to come speak on the issues, which will be
to an audience of roughly 90-100 people?

 

we plan to have three speakers, each talking about a different topic for
15-20minutes which will be followed by an audience Q&A and
discussion/debate. After the speaker event we will be hosting a feminist
themed pub quiz and a live music session with local female musicians.

 

I know that this is short notice but if you could let us know asap whether
this would be of interest to you that would be great.
