THIS SATURDAY: *Hackney Unemployed Workers Training day:*
As part of the Hackney Unemployed Workers Groups continued activity to
promote true understanding of how to combat the oppressive welfare system in
the UK, a training and information day has been organised for *Saturday the
27th of February* at Navarino Mansions Community Hall, Dalston lane, near
Hackney Downs station (google

- Share experiences of getting your rights
- Learn how to support others at the Job Centre
The event is FREE to attend, is open to anyone, will last from 1pm to 4pm,
and will have both wheelchair access and childcare provided.

This will be followed by another training session two weeks later
*Direct Action Casework Training Saturday 13th March 2 pm to 5.30 pm**

Come to learn how LCAP members support each other using advocacy and direct
action tactics.
The training will focus on advocacy skills and how to fight individual cases
within groups.
Lunch will be provided, and the venue and toilets are wheelchair-accessible.
If you require childcare to attend, please let us know. Email

*Come to discuss a housing problem, get support and support others and
campaign for better housing for all.
Navarino Mansions Community Hall, Dalston Lane (on the corner with Navarino
rd) near Hackney Downs station.
Children welcome, refreshments provided and wheelchair accessible venue.
*2pm - 4 pm Saturday 6th March - LCAP GENERAL MEETING:*
For all LCAP related groups and interested people to come and get updates on
different activities and make decisions. Same venue as above, Navarino
Mansions Community Hall.

Meeting for unemployed workers to get and give support on problems with
their benefits and get better treatment for all from the Jobcentre.
Cafe Bohemia, Bohemia place, opposite Hackney Central Station and by the
railway arch.

live. New groups are forming in many areas and we can put you in touch with
unemployed workers or housing groups in your local area or talk to you about
how to start one.
If you have some time to spare for leafleting a job centre of housing
office, helping to staff the office, can translate or interpret or have any
