Hiya, We're having a big Red Shoes celebration
on Saturday 17th July in Springfield Park, Clapton, E5 9EF
A feminist celebration for everyone! Bring friends!
11.30 -3ish pm painting shoes and making a sculpture with them...
(If you have acrylic paint or brushes to lend, please bring them..)
1pm ish lunch picnic etc.
The story of the red dancing shoes, in its women friendly version, will be available!
BRING any old or odd shoes to paint! picnic, rug etc
This activity will flow seamlessly into the newly-formed Feminists of Hackney picnic, which will continue until later in the afternoon. At our first meeting, we came up with loads of great ideas for feminist things to do in Hackney, and there's still room for loads more!Contact us at feministsofhackney at gmail.com
We plan to be by the bandstand, but follow the pink wool to find us!
There is a cafe in Springfield Park - it gets crowded, and another by the river at the bottom of Spring Hill.
Entrances to Springfield Park from Clapton Common or Upper Clapton Road, entrances in Spring Hill, Springfield, and Spring Lane along the banks of the Lee. Buses 253, 254, 393, Clapton Rail Station (750 m) Paths are wheelchair smooth but there is a BIG hill. Toilets by the cafe.
?
PLEASE SEND THIS EMAIL on to your friends and contacts and ask them to do the same...
We want loads of feminists and friendly people of all genders to get together, to show how many of us there are and have fun! Children welcome. :)
