[Anarchafeminists] SPUC holding "pro-life" vigils - get their rosaries off our ovaries! CHANGE OF TIME AND LOCATION!

A couple of amendments to this callout:

Firstly, the meeting time is 10:45 not 12:45 - that was me e-mailing before
engaging my brain.

Secondly, it turns out SPUC are holding their Wavertree demo at Christ the
King Church, Queens Drive (nr.Childwall 5 Ways) so we will meet at Childwall
Library, not Wavertree Library. They appear to be as ignorant in their
geography as their biology.

Please pass this on!

Thanks,

Emma

Subject: SPUC holding "pro-life" vigils - get their rosaries off our
ovaries!

The Society for the Protection of Unborn Children is doing a series of
"kerbside vigils" across the country on 28th April from 11am to 1pm.

The list of locations is here
<http://www.spuc.org.uk/news/releases/2012/april18> . From a quick glance
at their website, their stance is anti-choice, anti-morning after pill and,
for some reason, anti-gay marriage. As feminists, socialists and
anarchists, we need to oppose all attempts to remove women's reproductive
choices, which, limited as they are, have been hard fought for and hard won.

Please forward this e-mail to your networks, and bring your banners,
placards and chants.

Some ideas for chants:

"SPUC hear us say: keep your rosaries off our ovaries!"

"Women's issues - women's voices!

Women's bodies - women's choices!"

For Merseyside groups: SPUC is planning vigils in Chester and Wavertree.
I'll be bringing the AWOL banner to Wavertree - meet in front of Wavertree
library at 12.45. If anybody is organising opposition in Chester, let me
know and I'll pass the details on to other lists.

If you have a good pro-choice leaflet, make some copies. If you can make a
placard, please do. We need flags, banners and chants that clearly
differentiate us from SPUC so that it's obvious we're in opposition and not
swelling their numbers!

Hope to see many of you there,

Emma
