The Feminist Library is seeking a number of people to fill

Structured Volunteer Positions

These posts will suit you if you want to work part-time in a friendly feminist environment,
are able to work unsupervised and as part of a collective, are a good administrator, and want to learn new skills, as well as share your own.
We are looking for people to help with the day-to-day running of the library, and act as back up to the management group, assisting with such tasks as fundraising, organising events, marketing and promotion of the library, updating the website, and maintaining and expanding the library stock.

We plan to hire more than one Structured Volunteer, each working at least two days a week, mainly during the day, but with an occasional evening meeting. You must be available to work for a minimum of six months, and hopefully for longer. These positions are unpaid, but you will be given reasonable travel expenses, as well as other expenses directly connected with being at the library, by agreement. At present, nobody who works at the library is paid, but we hope that this situation will change if we are successful with fundraising.

The deadline for applications is 8th June 2012.
All applications must be made online.
All short-listed candidates will be contacted on 15th June, and interviews will be held at the Feminist Library on 18th or 19th June.
An induction for successful candidates will be held in the week starting 2nd July.
To find out more, download an application pack from www.feministlibrary.co.uk/svp .

In case of difficulty, please contact svp at feministlibrary.co.uk
