Hi there,
here are some interesting websites concerning sexism.
This is a page were people from different countries report about their
experiences with sexism:
http://everydaysexism.com/
This is the link to the survey "gender-based violence, stalking and fear
of crime".
It reports about gender-based violence at universities in Germany,
Italy, Poland, Spain
and UK: http://vmrz0183.vm.ruhr-uni-bochum.de/gendercrime/
I hope these facts give you some more information.
in solidarity!

Hello everyone!
As most of you probably know universities are unfortunately not free
from sexism and sexist violence. In fact, in the USA and the UK (where
data exists), it is estimated that 20% of female students are raped
during their time at the university. Adding other cases of sexual
assault, the estimations are that 1 out of every 3 female students
experience some sexual violence during their studies.
In Rio (Brazil) we are organizing a campaign against sexist violence in
the university, and we also know that here it is a recurrent problem but
we don't have estimates of how many women have suffered it. Part of our
campaign will be to give examples of universities around the world where
students have faced the same problems and achieved at least small
victories. We start with the beautiful "Dartmouth has a problem" protest
that the ISM informed about some days ago - and I wonder if any of you
know of more struggles that we can talk about in the campaign.
Thanks and stay strong!
In solidarity,
Deb
