Women's Studies Without Walls: Consciousness-raising sessions

 

FIRST SESSION THIS SATURDAY!

 

This autumn WSWW will hold a series of sessions introducing women to the basics of consciousness-raising. Come along and meet other women who want to share their experiences of life and political action. Find out about setting up local groups.

 

3-5pm, first Saturday of each month at the Feminist Library, 5 Westminster Bridge Road, London, SE1 7XW:

7th September 2013, 5th October 2013, 2nd November 2013, 7th December 2013

 

All self-defining women welcome. Wheelchair access available. Suggested donation on entry: £3-8 per session.

Saturday 28th September 2-9pm Feminist Graphic Arts - a day for everyone who likes feminist zines, comics, graffiti, and graphics of all sorts. Come along to learn more, share skills and develop new ones.

Call out for artists
We invite feminist-identified artists to submit artwork for an exhibition and a collective zine on the theme of 'I call myself a feminist because..." to be launched during the Feminist Graphic Arts event. If you would like to participate, please email your artwork as an A4 page, black and white by 13th September. Please include a short description about yourself/your work. Email your submissions to Eva Megias on megias.eva at gmail.com.  

 

The Feminist Library is co-operating with Frances Bardsley Academy, Romford on their term-long exhibition, Suffragettes and The Art Of Social Change.
