Hi
I'm hoping someone can help.
I'm part of a feminist collective in Newcastle and recently we've been making a lot of Zine, and stuff.
we've just been using our own printers and a local charity photocopying place, but this is quite expensive and it's knacking our printers.
We had a zine stall at the reclaim the night march yesterday and we ran
out half way through. also we were the only people who had made leaflets to hand out along the march and didn't make enough as
my printer is so slow it's painful. It made me realise how important the stuff we're doing is.
We have just been told of a local grant we can apply for,up to £2,000 and we're hoping to set up some kind of women's printing type thing. So we can have a good stock of zines and pass on info round the region.
Now I'm a self proclaimed technophobe and wouldn't have a clue where to start sourcing equipment or what it was I would even need to look for.
So I'm wondering if there's anyone out there who's perhaps got more of an idea than me, who could give some advice.
Cheers Alice
