<P><BR>Towards the end of December we emailed around saying we wanted to call
a<BR>meeting to discuss the idea of a London wide conference in 2010 similar
to<BR>the Anarchist Movement Conference 2009. See below for the text of the
full<BR>email we sent round.<BR><BR>We have now booked a venue for the first
meeting to discuss the idea, and<BR>would like as many people as possible to
come along and have your say<BR>about whether the event should happen or not and
in what form. Obviously<BR>the details will be worked out over a number of
months if the general<BR>feeling is the conference should go ahead.<BR><BR>So,
please come along and have your say. The meeting is on THURSDAY 21st<BR>JANUARY
- starts 7pm. It will be in the function room at the Cock tavern<BR>23 Phoenix

somebody from London who attended the<BR>2009 Anarchist Movement Conference or
somebody who we know might be<BR>interested in having a London Conference in
2010.<BR><BR>After the success of the 2009 Anarchist Movement Conference a few
of us<BR>thought we should build on what we started in 2009, and discuss the
idea<BR>of holding a similar events in future. Although no countrywide
conference<BR>seams possible next year we think a London Conference in late
spring/<BR>early summer will be a constructive step with a wider event in
2011.<BR><BR>Initiatives like Radical London and the Red & Black
Co-ordination meetings<BR>in 2009 show there is a positive desire to work
together in London. We<BR>hope to build on this by bringing together as many
people from the London<BR>area who define themselves as anarchists and
libertarians over a weekend<BR>to see how we can cooperate better. There is no
preset agenda but please<BR>come along having thought about what this conference
can do towards making<BR>our politics a real challenge to capitalism and the
state.<BR><BR>So, to start of the process we have called a meeting from 7pm on
the<BR>evening of Thursday 21st January to see if people support this idea;
what<BR>they would like to see from such a conference; and who would be up
for<BR>helping organise it. We haven’t booked a venue yet as the baby
Jesus<BR>birthday seems to have got in the way and all venues (rightly) are
taking<BR>a well earned rest. After the New Year we will book a venue fairly
central<BR>in London and let you all know where it is. This email is just to get
the<BR>ball rolling; get you all talking about the idea after slobbing out
over<BR>xmas; and to ask you to keep the 21st free.<BR><BR>Please e-mail us back
if you think you can come to this initial meeting as<BR>it helps with booking
