Thursday 21 January at 2.30pm there will be a reading by contributors to the new
anthology, <B><I><SPAN style="FONT-STYLE: italic; FONT-WEIGHT: bold">Telling
Tales About Dementia: Experiences of Caring</SPAN></I></B> which is published by
Jessica Kingsley Publishers. In this book, 30 carers from different backgrounds
and in different circumstances describe their experiences of looking after
someone with dementia.<o:p></o:p></SPAN></FONT></P>
<P class=MsoNormal><FONT size=3 face=Arial><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt">The
book is edited by Lucy Whitman, who cared for her mother when she developed
vascular dementia. She will be joined by some of the other contributors
including Gail Chester and Marylyn Duncan, reading extracts from their stories,
followed by questions and discussion.<o:p></o:p></SPAN></FONT></P>
<P class=MsoNormal><FONT size=3 face=Arial><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 12pt">The
book has been welcomed by family carers, carers’ organisations and dementia
professionals. The broadcaster John Suchet, who is caring for his wife Bonnie,
