Dear Friends,

"We are united in believing that every woman, and every person, has a right to participate in the struggle for social and environmental justice, without fear of persecution, objectification, or interference in their lives."

If you agree with this, and you know other people who do too, please help us spread the word. Eight women are resisting police attempts to strike out their legal action over undercover police abuse. They take this action in solidarity with all the individuals and organisations that have been affected by undercover policing.
Please support them:
======= What's this hearing about?

Eight women are taking legal action against the police after being deceived into relationships with undercover officers.

At the preliminary hearing on Tuesday 18 March 2014 - Wednesday 19 March 2014:

* Five of the women will face an attempt by the police to have their common law claims struck out. The police claim that as they can 'neither confirm, nor deny' (NCND) anything about undercover policing, the trial should not proceed.

* These are the common law claims of “deceit, assault, misfeasance in public office and negligence” made by the women who were deceived into long-term intimate relationships with undercover officers.

* The police are also applying (should their application for a strike-out fail) for secrecy measures against the women’s case.

* For more information on the background on the case, see http://policespiesoutoflives.org.uk/the-case-overview/
