<DIV>Dear all,</DIV>
<DIV>I am forwarding this message from a friend of mine who is a GP in Hackney
and very active in Keep Our NHS Public. Before I got this email from her I was
worrying about the fact that none of the bumph about the elections that I got
from any party, including the Labour Party, included any commitment on the NHS.
So I want to heartily endorse the point of this letter and say to you:</DIV>
<DIV>"I am asking you to change your usual voting pattern for these European
Parliament elections. We need 200,000 National Health Action Party votes
to get an MEP elected. The NHS is teetering on the brink of implosion - the
Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership will seal its fate. Please vote
for the NHS on May 22nd, and ask your friends, colleagues and family to do the
same."</DIV>
<DIV>Best wishes, Gail<BR>------------------------------------</DIV>

<DIV>Dear NHS Supporter,<BR><BR>WHAT do the European elections have to do with
the NHS?<BR><BR>The Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership being
negotiated between the US and the EU will tie the NHS into competition law.
Wealthy global corporations will be able to sue the NHS/ UK government for loss
of profits. This means NHS planners will not be free to determine what is best
for patients, only how to avoid being sued. Care as a market
strategy.<BR><BR>Philip Morris, makers of Marlborough cigarettes and the world's
biggest manufacturer of cigarettes, is suing the Australian government over loss
of profits because of the introduction of plain packaging of cigarettes. Profit
is more important than the health of a nation.<BR><BR>Clinical Commissioning
Groups already tender out services for fear of being sued by UK private health
care companies. This happened in Hackney in 2013 with the out of hours
service, causing waste of NHS money and local GP time on an unnecessary
tendering process. Hackney people and GPs had already said they wanted a
local GP-run service. So much for the promise of local decision making for
doctors and patients in the Health & Social Care Act.<BR><BR>WHY vote for
the National Health Action Party? The National Health Action Party
was started by doctors and health workers in 2012 to restore a publicly funded,
publicly provided NHS free at the point of delivery, based on need and not
ability to pay. We need to elect MEPs who will fight to keep the NHS
exempt from the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership. National
Health Action Party MEPs will fight for the NHS. It is time the public was made
aware of the coalition government's plans and we had a full, honest debate on
the future of health care in England.<BR><BR>I am asking you to change your
usual voting pattern for these MEP elections. We need 200,000 National
Health Action Party votes to get a MEP elected.<BR><BR>The NHS is teetering on
the brink of implosion- the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership will
seal its fate<BR><BR>Please vote for the NHS on May 22nd, and ask your friends,
colleagues and family to do the same.<BR><BR>Best Wishes, Coral Jones<BR><A
