This message is in reply to robert and vladimirpunk at radiomexico.com:
I've only fairly recently discovered blag but I actually became more
interested in it after finding out that development has stagnated. I
thought that I might be able to make some little contributions to the
project and use it as a learning opportunity to see how a distro is
packaged and maintained, but I didn't realize until a little later that
active developers are actually entirely nonexistent at the moment.
Despite using various distros for quit some time, I have never been on
the development side, and although I'm taking steps to learn some things
here and there, it would be a long time before I reached the level of
expertise to help continue with blag development. If someone else with
the technical know-how picked up the project, I might be able to make
little contributions to help facilitate the main development of the
distro, and hopefully I could graduate to making greater contributions
after some time.
I'd also like to add that the IRC channel is mostly dead - I've been
idling in there for almost two months now I believe, and junichiro is
the only one who ever stops by and chats. I spoke two one or two other
people, but they seldom drop by. I did also speak to genpashiro and we
talked a little bit about blag and what distros we currently use. If
people are interested in the future of blag, they should begin
populating the channel and organizing proper discussions. People have
built this project into a recognizable and respectable distro as far as
I can tell, so it would be a shame to just see it dissolve.
