Blag 140k is simply a great""piece of Art"..i don't understand;you
seem<br>
to have no support from the FSF & Gnu-org.<br>
Why?<br>
Is gNewSense pulling all the cover?i tried the latest released,not<br>
only the installation failed but on the 'Live Cd' it made me think <br>
of a php Webpage...!!2.3 was nicer but no comparaison to..BLAG <br>
140k,which as i wrote earlier i have deddicated to an external hard<br>
disc.(still super fast..)<br>
what can we do ?as average users with no technical knowledge;<br>
is it a question of finance?<br>
or of mainteneers&developpers?servers?<br>

the main difference with all the flashy codec(x) fancy button
distros<br>
is that there is a philosophy behind it....<br>
if Blag dissapears i would be very unhappy with the Gnu-org<br>
& the Fsf,considering that they have not defended such a great
project.<br>

I am still using Blag 140K it works perfect and do all that the new
bells and whistle OS do and some that they cannot do. Yes I am running
kernel 3.11.1 and I do all the necessary security updates.
Blag is still needed and used by us simple blaggers who understand that
a great OS don't have to be the latest must have.

Only has passed 2 years since the last blag version, I don't see why
we could think is not going up again, at the forum recently a new user
reported to be comfortable using blag 140k and especting a new one.
There are persons interesed in the project, I proposse give it more
time and make an effort to share the project with more people. I'm
sure more than one would be happy with a new blag distribution (even,
I would say, some part of the dissapointed fedora comunity coud come
with us).
If it counts, I'm still interested in a new blag version, I'll do my
best to keep it up again. If there is anybody else interested please
answear, if no I understand if you want to close the site.

So, this email should be taken as a call for volunteers who'd
like to
organize and take over its maintainership, so as to stop us
from
bringing the unmaintained server down.
Another possibility, in case there's still a community using
the forum,
the server, whatever, is to upgrade the server to Fedora 19,
minus the
proprietary server in it, and the Freed-ora kernel. Of course,
it
wouldn't make sense to undertake that effort if it wouldn't be
used.

Thanks for asking. I have my own backups of the server, that
I'll
probably keep around for a while, but others might want to
copy
something out too.
So, this email may also be regarded as a chance for people who
want to
copy stuff out of the server to do so.

the end of
the month? Barring signs that the, erhm, patient is not dead,
of course
;-)
