Pity people didn't show for the meeting but I'm sure those that are going to the G8 (as well as those that can't but who are planning protests on a local level) will come up with the goods in time. I've got most of the background material for 'The Big Sew' on Saturday 4th June (it's pretty big!) and am <STRONG>looking for black material</STRONG> for the letters. We need quite a lot, such as a spoiled roll of material for example, as I can't afford to buy it new. Anyone know where I can find some? I've tried Scrapstore but they only have little bits.</FONT></P>
<P><FONT color=#00007f size=3>As for protest apathy, I think that might be post- phony election depression. Sophie and I have been along to a couple of things against the closure of Bristol day-care centres and the numbers were<EM> very</EM> small.... We don't only have to fight what's wrong with the system, we also have to fight apathy and disempowerment among ourselves. Still, it's uplifting when people DO come together to take action and that's worth hanging onto. Hope we will continue to meet as Bartivists.</FONT></P>
