    *WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT*

Now that the election campaign is underway we need your support.

On May 1st a piece of street theatre and a party will ensue as we
drag effigies of the party leaders from their HQs to Parliament Square.
After we've executed them, we are calling for people to bring pop up tents
and for an occupation of the square to begin and run until May 6th. During
that time we wish to see a festival of ideas through the formation of a
regular Peoples' Assembly. Can we all pull together, and set up democracy
village? It's a great idea, but it can only happen if everyone gets
involved.

The supportive things we need are

(1) inviting people; please make contact with your wider
student/leftist/workplace and other local organising communities to get
involved to make this much more than a street party. we have some great
fliers which you can email and request via election.meltdown at gmail.com or
see web-site www.meltdown.uk.net inc facebook groups. there is also a street
party flier http://www.indymedia.org.uk/en/2010/04/449162.html

(2) support in organising the actual structure of the Peoples' Assembly
element - ie what time will they take place, do we invite specific speakers
and make each PA themed, or what? if you'd like to help with this please get
in touch or come to our next meeting which is tomorrow @3pm, 17th april at
the foundry on great eastern street, near old street tube. follow up
meetings are 24th & 25th april

*now *is the time to build a revolutionary centre; if we work together we
can bring people forward from a spectrum of leftist/libertarian struggles,
in solidarity and to share in a festival of ideas, the real parliament in
the square! let's create a new space for bridge building, ideological
exploration in class solidarity (from below) and to express something far
beyond theatre/ party.

In solidarity
