Hi Folks,

As the Great Copenhagen COP-out so vividly illustrated, combating
catastrophic climate chaos is beyond the capability of the decadent,
decomposing capitalism which currently rules humanity. So mounting a
popular public challenge to the legitimacy of government by bourgeois
democracy (the fig leaf for capitalist class dictatorship) has never
been more urgent. And the forthcoming General Election in two months
time, just 5 days after International Workers Day, Mayday Sat 01 May
10, presents us with a great opportunity to do so.

To compliment our stirling climate change campaigning through Climate
Camp, Rising Tide, and Workers Climate Action, you are invited to
participate in the Election Meltdown Mobilisation. G20 Meltdown rocked
the London streets in spring 2009, though unfortunately I wasn't well
enough to join in. Let's see if we can also get thousands of folks on
the streets in spring 2010 – as the capitalist dictatorship's
"Democratic Circus" revs up to fever pitch – and exercise our
collective political power directly, rather than surrendering it to a
bosses' lackey politician (of which Step One is getting along to our
Election Meltdown Mobilisation gathering #2 at the weekend, and
starting to gets ourselves organ-iz-zized!)

At the founding meeting for our Election Meltdown Mobilisation on Sat
30 - Sun 31, over 50 people from of wide variety of groups and
networks converged to begin planning a strategy for an effective,
decentralised movement in response to the bosses' elections in May.
We've set up an open Facebook group, an open activists email group,
and are developing plans for People's Assemblies, a Mayday Hometree
Street Carnival in Parliament Square and more. So now you are
cordially invited to join this exciting flock of initiatives, and to
initiate and integrate your own, at our next Election Meltdown
Mobilisation gathering:
• Saturday 13 January, 15:00-19:00
• Downstairs at The Foundry, Old Street tube (exit 3), 80 Great
