Dear All

Some of you may recall the idea for a regular grassroots 'Parliament on TV'
project, which would allow horizontal meetings to be livestreamed on-line
with a changing group of people who, collectively could represent, month in
month out the grassroots population in all its multicultural glory. Each
time we could look at one or two single controversial issues, from a
systemic point of view and develop agreed courses of action.

Democratic discussions could thus be broadcast via  livestream audio / video
and pod cast on line in a manner that the wider population could participate
in, via on line text, audio or video comment, and much else besides.

To make this idea a reality have an opportunity to take part in a fun
session with the excellent People Speak, who are interested to help us by
providing idiot proof tech support and inspiration from their 13 year
history. At the same time, I'm talking with some possible host venues for a
monthly CRD (Campaign for Real Democracy) meeting to harness the technology
and develop the concept, possibly in collaboration with the 21st Century
Network.

PS Because this month they have changed venue for their 13th anniversary
it's not wheelchair accessible (as it's downstairs); however the following
month normal service will be resumed, and the session will be fully
accessible again. Sorry about that Maria if you were thinking to come. Next
time :-)
