Hi all. At the end of the RTW meeting today was chatting with Mark Barrett and
Paul Brandon and came up with the idea of walk-ins not just walkouts. By that I
mean, for schools, parents would choose a day where they ( after speaking to
kids and after negotiation with militant teachers etc) would 'walk in' to a
school and create a general assembly with teachers and above all the kids, who
would walkout of class, in the main hall. Similar could happen with
students/anti-cuts going to a large workplace and walking in and shutting down
work and creating and assembly, again after discussion with union/reps. Anyway
just an idea that could take things forward.
Cheers Glyn
