<br><b>(1) The Wisconsin Wave </b>popular movement is now convening a series of People's Assemblies, with the 1st gathering taking place over the course of this weekend. Activists fromm there have contacted us giving us messages of support and asking us to write a message for their Assembly this weekend. <br><b>(2) Tomorrow 9th April</b> there will be a People's Assembly Network meeting from 1pm-5pm in Room MAL 509 5th Floor at Birkbeck <a href="http://www.peoplesassemblies.org/2011/03/help-build-the-people%E2%80%99s-assemblies-network/" target="_blank">http://www.peoplesassemblies.org/2011/03/help-build-the-people%E2%80%99s-assemblies-network/</a> (and see attached flier)<br>
<br><b>(3) Draft Agenda</b> (all subject to change/amendment by participants on the day) for the meeting so far includes:<br><br>- What's going on / how to start a People's Assembly in your area<br>- Encouraging more international links (especially in global south!)<br>
- Messages of support to / from Wisconsin<br>- Developing the website to make collaborative and dynamic<br>- Developing more network info eg a primer on Assemblies, getting more press coverage and a communique regarding eg Assemblies and the fight against cuts, jobs and services, developing new models of democracy, globalisation and the common alternative (?) <br>
