Hey,

here some, if little, English language information on the Charter for Democracy: http://www.opendemocracy.net/can-europe-make-it/euro-elections-you-tell-us/adri%C3%A0-rodriguez-lotta-tenhunen/southern-democratic-tide-to-overflow-europe

The European version of the charter - meant to be a tool for organization rather than a closed declaration of principles - has already been discussed last year in the Agora99 workshop of constituent processes (streamings saved here: http://99agora.net/democracy/constituent-processes), and its elaboration was brought further in the democracy workshop of last weekends New Abduction of Europe -meeting in Madrid (http://nuevoraptodeeuropa.net/).

Here's a blog we wrote after participating in the meeting (http://www.opendemocracy.net/can-europe-make-it/euro-elections-you-tell-us/lotta-tenhunen-adri%C3%A0-rodriguez/creating-radically-democratic-solutions-to-financi), maybe it will give some idea.

All the best
Hi,

Today we found in Spain the release of a really long document called
"Letter for Democracy". I am afraid that there is still no translation.

http://movimientodemocracia.net/2014/03/05/carta-por-la-democracia-version-marzo-2014/

It looks like a statement, a declaration of intentions and rights, or
principles, even guidelines on how to reach objectives, all together, based
on the consensus of many people from the whole country.

I didn't take part on it but I see its relevance even if I still didn't
read it all to agree or disagree. I'll put here a fast little translation
(by me) on what's about:

The Letter for Democracy is a document in which we have been working for a
year and that talks about the general lines of the political and social
proposal that we present. It is not finished. We don't want it finished,
but to be an alive document, in constant discussion and elaboration. We
think that is a good summary about the main demands that, as citizenship,
we put on the table over the last years. Our longings and necessities.
