Thanks Richard

Those of us who sat down on Sunday with you have slightly re-worked our wishlist over the past 24hrs....

It now looks something like this:

Homepage:

·
Official
CC video module (can remove once Camp is over??)

·
Official
camp imagery

·
Official camp text
- from blog??

·
Twitter
API (CC main feed)

 Link
to page with CC aggregated content (see below)

·
Any
relevant social network buttons??

Aggregated
content page, scraping content via RSS from selected sources:

·
Video
content (scraped from video-shairing sites by tag; Indymedia video content?; VisionOn)

·
Text
content (scraping content from ‘trusted’ sources (e.g. blogs we manually add
RSS feeds for, trusted Twitter feeds (multiple CC feeds; other relevant ‘trusted
sources’, etc and Indymedia)*

·
Photo
content (scraping content from Flickr via tag, Indymedia(?) and specific ‘trusted
sources’ flickr photostreams)

*we
could include mainstream media sources here... or we could look to create a
separate module called something like “what the media are saying about us” or
something

Appreciate this is extra and am happy to pick up with Jon, Jimdog and anyone else to see if we can make it work.....

Cheers
Simon

Hey all,

just to feed in from the quite important media team meeting on sunday (apologies for late response)

we'd like to see three promo boxes on the front page: text, photo and video.
each box would show promoted material, or material generated by the documentation & blog teams.

each box would then link to a separate page for blogs, photos and videos. These would contain
1) our own generated material
2) a secondary tier of material fed from other trusted sources (i.e. other blogs, stuff picked from tier 3 below)

3) a third tier for openly added material

can other with more technical knowledge please fill in website & jonathan on how this would work?

apologies for so many lists being added in here, but it does affect us all!

cheers
richard

Making more of a banner at the top and larger prettier text for Camp for

Climate Action. Rounded corners might break up the box impression.

I like the side menu idea, don't like the menu split between top and

bottom.
