Hi all,

Alistair and I discussed the feedback on the new design last week and
then I fed back to the designers. I just wanted to drop an email to the
lists so people can see where it's at now, and I can highlight how
specific areas of feedback have been dealt with.

I've been working furiously over the last week, and have implemented the
main bulk of the design: http://climatecamp.jonathanleighton.com/.
Please be aware that a lot of the links don't work, the design isn't yet
fully implemented, and I'm not really looking for comments at this
half-baked stage. But hopefully it is sufficient to give you an idea.

[Also note that I have currently only tested extensively in Firefox,
other browsers, particularly IE, may not render it correctly at the
moment.]

Specific changes worth highlighting:

* "Learn More" link and "About" link in footer to go through to an about
page
* Responding to complaints about it being too "clinical", some
illustration has been added - we have the images above each main menu
item, and the background 'watermark' illustrations.
* A search box added to footer
* Secondary and tertiary navigation added (for an example see
http://climatecamp.jonathanleighton.com/get-involved/national-gatherings/next)
* Blog page design half done:

There are specific designs for various other pages which will be
implemented over the next few days - I'm working on this for the next
two as well as the weekend.

Cheers,
Jon
