Hiya,

I've been chatting to mini mouse about photography upload for the doc
team.

What they do at the moment is is generate HTML galleries from some
software called iView and then upload it to a special "photography" FTP
account.

We agreed we can just move this system over to the new server as an
interim measure.

Eventually it would be better to get something a lot more integrated so
we can have integrated galleries on the website. What we need is:

* A "database" - some software which does photo uploads into galleries,
with metadata and thumbnailing etc
* An API to the database (some might call it SQL, maybe...) from which
we extract the data and display it in a nicely styled gallery, and have
a little feed on the front page.

I doubt there is time to implement this before camp but we can see.
