hi iggy

we're bringing kit to do some kind of radio thing with the campers like an
external tascam sound card with 2 mic inputs, some sm58's and our icecast
server is now up and running at
http://northern-indymedia.org/radionorthern.m3u [which is currently
playing the latest shows from you guys and riseup on a loop sound the
clock-hope this is cool, kind of assumed it would be]. What we don't
really have at the moment is enough people to put out a full length phony
on our own.

I was going to ask you if maybe we could do a slot on di for the stuff
we'll be doing as a collaboration during the camp, and maybe even beyond
somehow whilst we get our shit together. In return we'll put it all out on
our server as a station and advertise it up here to our local groups,
which we pretty much do anyway.

We should be good dns static recording but do you have anything we could
borrow for doing some mobile interviews at any point like a dictaphone,
though i'm trying to adapt a nokia n800 for this purpose.

I'm actually making a rare excursion to london tomorrow and saturday if
you want to meet up and talk about it. Send me an email if you do and i'll
send my phone number.

Hope you.re good

jimdog
ps i'm not on the northern contact list for purposes of decentralisation
but jen said you sent an email there about something radio related. Did
she get back to you? I'm dealing with the icecast setup so it may be worth
copying me in to that discussion if you have any specific queries :-)
