hey hey,
was just having a look at this page on the site:
http://climatecamp.org.uk/get-involved/take-direct-action
and was thinking it could do with a bit more stuff in it - links to
resources, nice pics etc. Does anyone fancy taking this on? would need to
speak to website, but i think they could set you up to use the content
mangement system to edit it.
i also found this bit of text a bit jarring:
"Often the media distort 'direct action' and 'civil disobedience' to mean
smashing windows or scuffles with the police – what these phrases actually
mean is people actively deciding to do what you think is the right thing to
do, and not waiting for somebody else to do it for them - even if that means
stepping out of line and perhaps breaking the law. "
should really change it to:
"Often the media distort 'direct action' and 'civil disobedience' to mean an
excuse for smashing windows or scuffles with the police – what these phrases
actually mean is people actively deciding to do what they think is the right
thing to do, and not waiting for somebody else to do it for them - even if
that means stepping out of line and perhaps breaking the law. "
anyhow..realise everyones probably very busy and sorry for not offering to
work on it myself, don't really want to take anything more on at the
moment..
ciao,
chris
