Resisting new coal in Scotland
*
Act now to support communities by submitting consultation rejection letters
against new coal developments in Scotland

*Hunterston Coal Power station Consultation
*
Peel energy and the Scottish government are currently pushing through plans
for a massive new coal power station to be built next to the Hunterston coal
port, just west of Glasgow. The battle against the Hunterston coal plant is
being recognised by many as the new Kingsnorth. At the climate camp in
Edinburgh there will be a discussion about how our movement can be part of
this struggle.
However the government consultation for Hunterston ends on the 20th of
August and the local group Communities Opposed to New Coal at Hunterston
(CONCH) need your help ASAP. You can act now by submitting a letter of
rejection to this consultation by following this link.

to consultations for three open cast developments so that they don’t even
get past the planning stage. Simply follow this link.
