<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>Hi all,</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>I'd prefer to see this done in the form of a
reworked image to fit the centre column of the front page, as with the G20.
It's an interim solution, but </FONT><FONT face=Arial size=2>I think it makes
more sense given:</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>a) The discussion on the networking list about the
inaccessibility of tripods as an image (which I agree with - I remember
seeing the Heathrow photos and thinking it all looked a bit weird - and was then
engaged by the This Planet Has No Emergency Exits thing), so I'm not sure we'd
want to base our website template design around that image. For me this isn't
affected by whether it's in black and white or colour.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>b) The networking group has expressed a desire
to have a discussion about narrative and concepts for a second generation of
publicity - I think this should include design work that works for the website
as well as a flyer. Therefore I think wider changes to the design of the website
should take place after the networking meeting. </FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>c) I think the banner along the top of the website
is part of the design for the site template as a whole, and it's not possible to
just change the banner without reconsidering the whole site.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>So I think better to see if we can get an image
that works in the central column.</FONT></DIV>
