My understanding is that this is partly the London Outreach group and
partly the national Outreach group, although there's an overlap of
personnel.

Do we have an Events section it could go in which pools events from all
nhoods? I think I fed this back as London nhood spoke, that no one's
going to navigate to the local groups page to find out about local
events, as those pages are basically static signposting boards, so
would be good down the line to have some way of having local nhood
events listed somewhere prominent and all together? and/o national
events that aren't 'future actions'. maybe blog posts with an 'events'
tag?

I'd query the 'in cooperation with Zed Books' bit but apart from that
seems fine to go up.
"official" climate camp thing I would have heard about it... but maybe
it's been discussed in the London Neighbourhood?
If we put it up I think it should go under the London hood section.

Subject: thanks jon - here's the next bit of info
Date: Fri, 21 Aug 2009 14:30:20 +0100
cool, thanks lots for getting back to me so soon.
the reason i ask is that neil set us up a page before
(..../octoberconference) and it became /septemberconference due to our
date changing although the page has vanished in the past week.
also, i was able to log in before as neil created an account for me
and now can't (i don't mind either way but i'm gonna need to be adding
new info to the page a bit as authors confirm their attendance so if
you'd rather i did that myself then i'm happy to)
anyway, the main thing at the moment is to send you info about the
event as we're already publicising it and the weblink has gone out on
mailing lists.
For now, can I request the following to go on the page and will get
more to you over the weekend (thanks loads!!!)
1. can the link be .../september-event rather than 'conference' (the
problem is that the weblink is already out there - is there some way
of redirecting ppl automatically so that if they type in
'septemberconference' it will take them to 'september-event' - if not,
stick to the original link otherwise we're gonna fuck up (and we'll
need to alter the URLs below accordingly)
2. Details:
The Camp for Climate Action’s Great Global Warm-Up!
What: Day of workshops, debates, talks and more!
When: Saturday, September 26th from 11am onwards.
Where: Central London venue (tba).

The global issues of Climate Change are as diverse as the people
affected by them. Increasingly people are recognising that we cannot
allow corporations and governments to carry on with business as usual
this December at the UN Summit in Copenhagen.
This September, The Camp for Climate Action, in cooperation with Zed
Books, will be warming up for an autumn of mass actions by bringing
activists, authors and people from all walks of life together for a
day of workshops, discussion and debate.
Whether you’re new to issues of Climate Change, Social Justice and
International Development, or brimming with knowledge on such
subjects, this is an exciting opportunity to learn more, meet others
and be part of shaping the agenda in the run up to Copenhagen. Find
out how we can make a just and sustainable future for people and
planet by taking real action.
For more information about this event, see

london@climatecamp.org.uk with ‘Global Warm-Up Event’ in the subject
line.
See you there!

Hi tess,
we're holding back on setting up accounts right now - don't
think we have
a page yet for the september conference, but if you send
through any
details of the conference i can create a page for it.
Thanks
